Accessibility statement
Who-Dat Electrical & Mechanical, LLC wants whodatelecmech.com to be usable by everyone. This statement describes where the site stands, lists the content that is not yet accessible, and tells you how to report a barrier.
Who-Dat Electrical & Mechanical, LLC (“Who-Dat,” “we,” “us”) operates this website. Last updated: November 5, 2026.
Scope and legal basis
This statement covers the public pages of whodatelecmech.com, not the password-protected staff area. Who-Dat Electrical & Mechanical, LLC is a business open to the public, and the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to what we offer, this website included. The ADA sets no technical standard for websites; we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice refers to, as our benchmark.
Conformance status
This website partially conforms with WCAG 2.1 level AA: in our checks the pages themselves meet the criteria; the content listed below does not yet fully.
Among other things:
- Everything works with a keyboard alone. Each page starts with a “Skip to content” link (the search page starts in its search box), the focus is always visible, the menu and the search window open and close, the questions and answers expand, and the photo gallery scrolls.
- Text, meaningful icons, form field borders and the focus outline meet the WCAG contrast ratios in both the light and the dark color scheme.
- Pages fit a screen 320 pixels wide, the same as 400% zoom, without scrolling sideways or cutting off text, and nothing is cut off when you widen the spacing of letters, words and lines.
- Each page has one main heading, headings in order and marked header, navigation, main content and footer regions. The language is set to English, and the Spanish phrase in our questions and answers is marked as Spanish.
- Photos have text descriptions, and the Google rating is shown as a number, not only as stars.
- Every contact form field has a visible label. Required fields are marked with an asterisk that the form explains in words, and each error is named in words next to its field.
- Animations stop on their own within five seconds, and the site follows the reduce motion setting of your device.
- Without JavaScript, the contact form, the search, the questions and answers and the photo gallery still work.
- The site has no videos, audio, maps, embedded widgets or PDF documents.
Content that is not accessible
Third-party content. Some links open pages that other organizations run: Google (our reviews and business listing), Instagram, Yelp, the Better Business Bureau, the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, and, at the foot of each page, the Google PageSpeed Insights and Security Headers reports and our web developer’s website. We don’t control how accessible those pages are, and leaving a Google review requires a Google account. Our rating, license number and contact details are on this site as text, and you can always reach us by phone or email instead (see below).
Without JavaScript. On screens up to 920 pixels wide the menu needs JavaScript. Without it, use the links at the foot of every page, which lead to the same content. The light and dark switch and the gallery arrows need JavaScript too: without it the color scheme follows the time of day in New Orleans (light from 7 AM to 7 PM, dark otherwise), and the photo gallery still scrolls sideways.
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on November 5, 2026. It is based on an assessment by our web developer in November 2026, using automated checks (Lighthouse, axe) and scripted keyboard, focus and contrast checks in light and dark mode. We review it once a year and whenever the site changes substantially.
